Speaking English Capital Normal University
I went to Capital Normal University for the second time this year as an invited speaker. The topic was the importance of English in today’s world, and the room was packed with students. In a situation like that, I find myself listening to their spoken English skills. It becomes not so much a lecture as a conversation with a few hundred students. They are enthusiastic about English learning, but the various levels of spoken English are apparent. Their reading and writing skills are better than their spoken skills. I encouraged them to focus on their English speaking. They were fun to be with…hope it helped. Thanks for the invitation. Practice speaking!
